Essential Functions and Primary Duties

  • Review client ledgers and financial reports
  • Budgeting/Cash flows
  • Able to analyze and account for brokerage and investment activity
  • Personal financial statements

Preferred Qualifications

  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in accounting (CPA preferred but not required)
  • Basic knowledge of human resource practices
  • Family office background preferred
  • Combination of experience with both business and personal accounting
  • Knowledge of individual/business taxes
  • Payroll
  • Partnership/entity knowledge
  • Familiar with trusts, not for profit entities, and foundations
  • Able to work in a team setting
  • Able to develop rapport with professional advisors
  • Able to put in and manage process to improve workflow
  • Able to train, grow and develop staff
  • Set and manage staffing priorities
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Experience w/payroll taxes and 1099’s (Household/Business)
  • Understands internal controls
  • Sales tax
  • Detail orientated, organized and dependable
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, outgoing, to develop rapport with clients & staff
  • Able to maintain highest degree of client confidentiality
  • Analytical skills
  • Able to prioritize
  • Problem solving skills 

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s Degree preferred in Accounting, Taxation, or related field
  • 6 years of experience in public accounting or related field
  • 3 years of supervisory experience
  • Must have active CPA or equivalent certification
  • Ability to manage all aspects of client engagements
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate verbally and in writing throughout all levels of organization, both internally and externally
  • Must be able to travel based on business needs
  • Proficient use of applicable technology

The annual salary target for this job in this market is $120,000-$175,000. The specific compensation for this role will be determined based on education, experience and skill set of the individual selected for this position.
