The Transaction Advisory Services (“TAS”) business line of CBIZ CMF is a national practice that performs 250+ due diligence (buy-side and sell-side) engagements annually.  Our client base extends from coast-to-coast and we have a long track record working with private equity firms, and public and private companies located throughout the U.S.  Our team is comprised primarily of professionals with previous experience in the Big 4 transaction services groups and we have a flatter leverage model, which translates into a more experienced engagement team relative to other firms.

Essential Functions and Primary Duties

  • Support the Transaction Advisory Services practice co-leadership and delivery team with managing and fostering new business leads from all channels, including existing private equity firm clients, the CMF private equity business development team, investment banking firms, and other opportunity/referral sources to drive new revenue growth.
  • Analyze and manage inbound opportunities from local office network and investment banking firms.  Become lead for local office referred opportunities and education of local offices about the TAS practice.
  • Support the scheduling, handling, and completion of sales calls and meetings related to all TAS business development efforts, including follow-up communications.
  • Liaise with CBIZ CMF private equity business development team.
  • Support proposal development process, including engagement letters, scopes of work and supporting emails. Coordinate scope discussions with clients and delivery teams, including indicative pricing, staffing, and production of proposal document(s).
  • Oversee and manage development and updating of TAS marketing materials and deliverables.
  • Management and support of TAS active engagement/opportunity project board and related Salesforce effort. 
  • Manage coordination of other CBIZ CMF private equity firm consulting services as applicable.
  • Support and manage the weekly preparation of the TAS financial and metrics dashboard.
  • Provide constant communication and flash reporting for all tasks.
  • Learn and maintain in-depth knowledge of services, industry trends and competition.
  • Coordination of TAS teambuilding and social events.

Preferred Qualifications

  • A Bachelor’s degree is required in addition to a minimum of 4 years of experience working in professional services and ideally 2 years in a sales related role.  Paralegal experience is a plus.
  • Create a solid first impression, commands attention and respect, shows an air of confidence, and deals comfortably with colleagues. 
  • Highly motivated, driven and self-starting individual with demonstrated ability to learn and succeed in a fast-paced and entrepreneurial work environment.
  • Strong working knowledge of MS Office applications, including Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Adept at juggling multiple priorities and deadlines without sacrificing quality.
  • Must be independent and self-motivated and yet a team player.
  • High level of maturity and professionalism.
  • Can quickly learn how to qualify legitimate leads.
  • Candidates should be comfortable and confident articulating the value of our services over the phone.
  • Candidates must have a clear track record of excellence in several categories, including teamwork, professionalism, communication, organization, and client service.
  • Must live in the Denver area.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field.
  • 3 years of relevant work experience.
  • Achieve professional certifications relative to the area of expertise, must have and preserve required licenses.
  • Must possess analytical skills.
  • Proficient use of applicable technology.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate verbally and in writing throughout all levels of organization, both internally and externally.
  • Must be able to travel based on client and business needs.
