Essential Functions and Primary Duties

  • Manage executive searches for a North American search team that conducts 30+ retained searches annually (75% CFO and 25% 2nd level roles, for private equity backed portfolio company clients)
  • Drive the full life cycle recruitment process for senior finance leader search projects, primarily CFO roles
  • Partner with the Director of Executive Search and Director of Talent to develop sourcing strategies and plans
  • Serve as a player-coach in collaborating with firm recruiters and researchers to find target candidates
  • Source target candidates directly, utilizing database resources, referrals, research, firm relationships and other creative methods for finding executive talent that match client requirements
  • Interact with PE fund executives and leaders at middle market companies in the $100M to $1B annual revenue range
  • Provide market feedback to clients’ executive teams regarding talent and talent market trends, search approaches, and candidate quality
  • Negotiate offers and provide sound guidance to executive candidates and PE fund clients during the negotiation process
  • Collaborate with CMF search team members to ensure successful completion of all search projects.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Minimum 10 years of executive recruiting experience, ideally within a combination of executive search firms and internal corporate executive recruiting teams, most recently working at a VP or Senior Executive Recruiter level
  • 3+ years of experience working with private equity funds to fill C-level roles for their portfolio companies
  • Experienced/trained in behavioral interviewing and candidate evaluation
  • Ability to work with C-level management at PE funds and portfolio companies, with high client service orientation
  • Strong collaboration and team orientation
  • Outstanding creative problem solving skills
  • Financial talent recruiting experience preferred
  • BS degree required; business discipline preferred
  • Advanced degree, such as an MBA desirable
  • Willing to consider candidates interested in working remotely, as long as they are able to make periodic trips to our Philadelphia office

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field
  • 7-10 years of relevant work experience
  • Must possess analytical skills
  • Proficient use of applicable technology
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate verbally and in writing throughout all levels of organization, both internally and externally
