CBIZ Insurance Services, Inc. is looking for an experienced, creative, energetic and passionate communications professional to support the business development initiatives of CBIZ Property & Casualty Retail Division.  

The Senior Marketing Specialist will serve as the primary marketing resource for our Property & Casualty Retail division.  In this capacity, they will create and execute targeted marketing communication strategies and tactics to support the day-to-day needs of the business unit.

They will be responsible for the writing, development and management of content for the Retail division. The position will work closely and collaboratively with other members of the P&C marketing team, and plays a critical role in the development and execution of our content strategy end-to-end, from writing engaging content that attracts site traffic and nurtures leads to distributing that content through multiple channels. We are looking for a results-oriented marketing professional with a stellar writing background, strong attention to detail, and a data-driven mindset. Essential Functions and Primary Duties:

• Develops and executes marketing communication strategy in coordination with leadership

• Creates robust thought leadership offerings to promote services and build public presence

• Researches market trends, competitor positioning and prospects; advances pertinent findings and recommendations to leadership

• Supports targeted lead generation programs through development of engaging content

• Serves as central intake and project manager for divisions marketing requests

• Develops project timelines and leverages national marketing resources to effectively complete projects on time and on budget

• Works closely with sales team to support the creation of leading class proposals, including content development, formatting, editing and proofreading

• Coordinates event sponsorships and seminars as appropriate

• Manages external web presence and social media properties for CBIZ Insurance Services, Inc. (aka Property & Casualty)

• Manages intranet presence for CBIZ Insurance Services, Inc. (aka Property & Casualty)

• Performs all other duties as assigned

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience as a content development professional

• Love for writing and storytelling

• Knowledge of the P&C insurance industry 

• Ability to learn new skills as they become necessary

• Ability to function in a collaborative organization and be a team player

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills 

• Demonstrated ability to translate technical information into engaging, customer friendly content

• A solid command of the English language (grammar, spelling, vocabulary and AP style writing)

• Flexibility with changing priorities and managing diverse responsibilities within compressed time frames

• Ability to build relationships and collaborate at all levels of the organization

• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with changing priorities

• Ability to work independently and take initiative

• Highly motivated, willingness to think outside the box, and work collaboratively in a team environment

• Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Communications or related field

• 4-6 years of B2B Marketing experience

• Highly detail oriented and organized with strong analytical skills 

• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively communicate with all levels of firm management, staff and vendors

• Effective at building relationships with colleagues, peers and management

• Ability to work with limited supervision

• Excellent computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook

• Familiarity with Adobe Creative Cloud and Salesforce a plus

• Ability to analyze and prioritize multiple responsibilities

Minimum Qualifications:

• 3 Years of experience as a subject matter expert

• Must maintain current required licenses and certifications relevant to field of expertise

• Demonstrated ability to communicate verbally and in writing throughout all levels of organization,
 both internally and externally

• Effective customer service skills

• Proficient use of applicable technology

• Ability to work in team environment as well as independently

• Ability to analyze and prioritize multiple responsibilities
