About the Team

The Principal will be a full-time permanent role supporting the Management Consulting team.  The Management Consulting team helps our clients solve their toughest problems including defining and evaluating various strategies. We analyze market trends and businesses to help our clients gain the right perspective in order to stay focused and maintain their competitive edge. We help our clients at both the business unit and corporate level to develop and execute sustainable strategies that enhance the customer experience and raise the brand integrity to ultimately drive an increase to shareholder value.

Role Responsibilities

As a Principal, you’ll be an integral part of a team that has extensive consulting and industry experience and is custom designed to help our clients solve their most complex business issues. Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Actively manage and deliver on client projects
  • Proactively work with our Senior Directors and Managing Directors to optimize the client solution
  • Be actively involved in business development for new and existing clients
  • Directly manage relationships with both company management and private equity investors
  • Continuously focus on developing your own and your team’s skillsets
  • Stay up to date with the latest local, national, and international business and economic issues
  • Be an active participant in the learning and development of staff

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree
  • 6+ years of experience including supervisory and client service
  • Demonstrated knowledge of, and experience in, operational and strategic value realization activities both before, during, and after a transaction
  • Understanding of the M&A lifecycle and private equity investment process
  • Ability to lead teams that help our private equity and corporate clients with finance business process optimization, working capital management, transaction readiness, and finance integration strategy and execution
  • Experienced working with large amounts of information to develop quantitative and qualitative analyses that will inform the client deliverables
  • Experience facilitating working sessions to gather data and understand the client’s issues and perspectives
  • Able to develop strategic plans and key metrics to drive and track, respectively, the solution oriented initiatives that will create the value our clients seek
  • Strong critical, creative, and strategic thinking skills to frame and solve complex issues
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate confidently, professionally and effectively using a variety of styles to effectively interact at any level
  • Demonstrated experience in developing engagement proposals, deliverables and reports
  • Ability to manage multiple project workstreams and resources
  • Excellent time management and organizational abilities
  • High degree of accuracy and efficiency with attention to detail
  • Highly adaptable, flexible and client service focused
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and constantly changing environment and meet tight deadlines
  • Strong computer skills, especially Excel and PowerPoint

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA preferred
  • 4 years of experience in either Consulting or relevant industry roles, with a minimum of 2 years in Consulting/Advisory
  • 2 years of supervisory experience
  • Ability to manage all aspects of client engagements
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate verbally and in writing throughout all levels of organization, both internally and externally
  • Proficient use of applicable technology
  • Must be able to travel based on client and business needs
