CBIZ is seeking an Operations Specialist in our Cleveland office to provide support to the advisors and clients of CBIZ Financial Solutions, Inc.(CBIZ FS) and CBIZ Investment Advisory Services, Inc. (CBIZ IAS)

Essential Functions and Primary Duties:

For CBIZ FS (Broker/Dealer)

  • Support CBIZ FS Brokerage Business such as, open accounts, process transfers, account maintenance, etc.
  • Process/Submit Broker/Dealer Changes
  • Review NFS Important Notices for upcoming changes
  • Client entry into back office system
  • Send direct business Welcome Letters to new clients
  • Send direct business Change of Address letters when necessary
  • Direct business processing with fund and annuity companies
  • Scan client files/documents to imaging system
  • Assist with additional CBIZ FS Brokerage functions such as journals, margin, rep notifications from daily reports, security deposits, etc.
  • Assist with Rep changes at NFS/direct Investment companies
  • Assist with FINCEN checks
  • Albridge support to advisors and employees

For CBIZ IAS (Registered Investment Adviser)

  • Adhere to and support advisory business objectives
  • Assist with onboarding of new advisory accounts if necessary

For CBIZ FS and CBIZ IAS

  • Brokerage and Advisory Check/Wire/EFT requests
  • Log off checks for CBIZ FS and CBIZ IAS from Electronic Check Log
  • Adhere to regulatory Know Your Customer rules
  • Assist in maintaining/updating operational procedures
  • Assist in oversight of data entered into back office system
  • Assist with mail when necessary
  • Adhere to ethics and employee code of conduct policies.
  • Assist Compliance Department when necessary
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or GRE required 
  • Three years of job related experience
  • Series 6 or 7 preferred
  • Strong PC skills and proficiency on various Microsoft products including Excel and Word.
  • Highly organized with strong analytical skills.
  • Demonstrate initiative, imagination, resourcefulness, creativity, and independent thinking
  • Have strong written and verbal communication skills, the ability to manage time effectively, and the ability to multi-task
