The Inside Sales Specialist will be responsible for identifying business opportunities through outbound calling lead generation efforts to support the company’s marketing and business development efforts.

Essential Functions & Primary Duties:

  • Cold call potential prospects as assigned to support lead generation marketing campaigns and generate appointments for business developers/producers.
  • Work with FS (Financial Services) Directors and BI Producers (“Revenue Generators”) to develop a plan for territories to generate lead opportunities.
  • Follow-up on leads (companies and individuals signed up and/or attended) seminars/webinars and conferences as assigned.
  • Assist in setting up seminars and target forums in CBIZ offices throughout the US working in conjunction with Revenue Generators and local office marketing managers.
  • Research, identification and verification of decision makers and contact information
  • Utilize to track all calling and contact activity and set up opportunities
  • Create reports from to provide management opportunity to review successful activities and develop future campaigns.
  • Learn the structure of the producers and the leadership of CBIZ resources in order to process opportunities.
  • Manage and drive lead generation campaigns.  Be incented annually on the ability to generate new opportunities in the industries and geographies of CBIZ. 
  • Coordinate with Financial Services and Benefits & Insurance marketing to determine strategic messaging per calling effort/purpose
  • Communicate findings, market conditions, industry trends and general observations to Financial Services and Benefits & Insurance leadership to aid in program modifications to yield success.
  • Support inside sales needs of CBIZ as directed by the Vice President of Business Development/Client Development

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree Business Field, or strong track record of success
  • 3 - 5 years professional business experience in an inside sales or outside sales role.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple projects.
  • Strong attention to detail and organization
  • Highly self-motivated and entrepreneurial spirit, driven by achieving goals.
  • Has the ability to learn the essence of the financial services solutions guide.
  • Polished verbal communication skills and ability to listen and articulate needs of prospect. 
  • Has the ability to develop a talk track for approaching targets in order to gain appointments.
  • Ability to engage in dialogue with CFOs and other C-suite executives
  • Experience with CRM systems; experience a plus
  • Knowledge or ability to gain knowledge of the service offerings we provide, the industries we are in and the competitive and regulatory landscape.
  • Experience in business to business communications as it relates to financial services.
