The Kansas City office is looking for an HR Specialist with experience with:

  • To assist internal and external local clients with questions and needs and ensure department goals are met through teamwork and collaboration

  • Position requires degree of subject matter expertise

Essential Functions and Primary Duties:

As a member of the Human Resources team, supports and administers programs and projects for the Chief Human Resources Officer and Director of Associate Development and Engagement.  Content may include the following: Workforce planning, succession planning, talent assessments, associate development, leadership development and coaching, career development, attraction, mentoring and retention programs, and engagement.

  • Prepare various documents which may include reports, memos, letters, responses to correspondence, surveys, evaluations, spreadsheets and presentations

  • File and retrieve  documents, records, and reports

  • Coordinate  the distribution of surveys and assessments and run reports as needed

  • Provide support and/or act as administrator for LMS and other technology programs

  • Maintain databases and assemble data

  • Perform research and complete  project  work

  • Organize, print and distribute materials utilized in on-boarding, training, etc.

  • Develop process efficiency's needed to support effective execution of programs and projects

  • Manage content of HR intranet site

  • Additional responsibilities as assigned

Minimum Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED required

  • Bachelor’s Degree and/or two years of relevant work experience desired

  • Must maintain current required licenses and certifications relevant to field of expertise

  • Demonstrates the ability to communicate verbally and in writing throughout all levels of organization, both internally and externally

  • Effective customer service skills

  • Proficient use of applicable technology

  • Ability to work in team environment as well as independently

  • Ability to analyze and prioritize multiple responsibilities
