CBIZ MHM is seeking a HR Manager for our Denver office. This position jointly reports to the Senior Managing Director of the Denver Financial Services business unit and to the HR Director aligned to the Denver office on human resources and office management responsibilities. The successful incumbent will work closely with Senior Managing Director, the Denver executive team, the HR Director, managers and staff to support the business unit objectives, providing services and solutions in a proactive, timely and effective manner.

Essential Functions and Primary Duties​:

  • Partner with business management in support of business objectives
  • Address organizational and employee needs through effective execution of processes and programs
  • Support employee engagement and a positive employee relations environment through timely and conscientious responses as well as proactive efforts; respond to employees’ and managers’ HR related inquires
  • Respond and support to staffing needs through recruiting activities such as resume review, phone screens, scheduling and making arrangements for candidate interviews
  • Lead and support local campus recruiting and local internship programming
  • Coordinate employee onboarding; deliver all new hire paperwork and ensure compliance of required documents in a timely manner
  • Coordinate and conduct training for business unit employees
  • Conduct exit interviews and subsequent activities after
  • Maintain and update employee files; complete HR-related transactions and route for required approvals; follow through to ensure timely and accurate execution
  • Maintain current HCM system and maintain secure employee files and reports
  • Interface with payroll department for timely and accurate outcomes
  • Support Senior Managing Director on property management and  office management activities
  • Additional responsibilities as assigned, which may include special projects and involvement in business unit initiatives and resolve a range on internal and external requests

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree with 2 years of increasingly responsible HR management experience preferred or high school diploma or GED with 5 years experience as strong HR generalist background required
  • PHR/SPHR preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate verbally and in writing throughout all levels of organization, both internally and externally
  • Demonstrated ability in negotiation and conflict resolution
  • Proficient use of applicable technology
  • Strong organizational skills, ability to multi -tasking and prioritize
  • Must have attention to detail and ability to meet strict deadlines
  • Must be able to travel based on client and business needs
