CBIZ is looking for a HR Compliance Analyst to join our Kansas City office. The HR Compliance Analyst is responsible for the support and development of internal programs to ensure compliance with affirmative action as well as other federal, state and local compliance obligations.

Essential Functions and Primary Duties:

  • Manages the development, timelines, monitoring, goals and implementation of company-wide affirmative action plan design to ensure compliance with federal and state regulations
  • Ensures AAP compliance through the monitoring, tracking, statistical and narrative reporting of plans with assistance from an AA consulting firm
  • Delivers affirmative action training programs to HR, leadership and those involved in recruitment activities
  • Responsible for compliance reviews initiated by the OFCCP and state agencies
  • Implements processes for data collection, auditing statistics and identifies areas for improvement
  • Serves as the HR consultant in matters regarding EEO/AA compliance
  • Prepares RFPs and certificate renewals, supporting reports and inquiries as required
  • Prepares the submission of all required HR regulatory reports (i.e., EEO-1, VETS-4212, etc.) to the appropriate government agency
  • Ensures processes and systems are developed with AA/EEO and other regulatory requirements in mind
  • Regularly audits HR work processes to ensure they meet requirements of federal and state compliance obligations
  • Manages HR initiatives, applicant tracking, good faith effort monitoring and recommend approaches as appropriate
  • Monitors federal, state and local jurisdictions for regulatory changes and works with Human Resource owners to implement changes and updates internal policies and procedures as required

Preferred Requirements: 

  • Minimum of 3-years experience in an AA/EO and HR compliance role
  • Experience dealing with the OFCCP, state agencies and/or Human Resources on EO/AA matters
  • At least one year of project management
  • Knowledge of recruiting and hiring practices
  • Must be able to comprehend, manipulate, and interpret data and reports
  • Strong aptitude in data analysis and general understanding of averages, ratios and statistics
  • Ability to maintain all required documentation and records in an organized and accessible format
  • Ability to work in team environment as well as independently
  • Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities and keep track of upcoming deadlines
  • Reporting experience in support of an AA role helpful

Minimum Requirements: 

  • HS diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Statistics or relevant field preferred
  • 3 years of relevant experience
  • Must possess analytical skills
  • Must be able to comprehend, manipulate and interpret statistical data
  •  Demonstrated ability to communicate verbally and in writing throughout all levels of organization, both internally and externally
  •  Proficient use of applicable technology
