CBIZ is seeking an HR Business Analyst in our Kansas City office. The HR Business Analyst will support Human Resources as a subject matter expert on data, analytics and reporting.  They will participate in the planning, documentation, development and testing of HR data and reporting projects, creating viable solutions to meet Human Resources and business needs.  The HR Business Analyst is also accountable for the management and administration of the Affirmative Action program.   

Essential Functions and Primary Duties:

  • Works closely with HR, IT and other key stakeholders across the company to identify report and analytic opportunities, gather requirements, coordinate and perform testing and data validation, and deliver reporting solutions
  • Ensure AAP compliance through the monitoring, tracking, statistical and narrative reporting of plans
  • Gathers and analyzes data from HR, payroll, benefits and recruitment, continually learning about new ways to mine data, to allow us to understand our workforce to drive real business results and value
  • Coordinates and prepares the submission of all required HR regulatory reports (i.e., EEO-1, VETS-4212, etc.) to the appropriate government agency
  • Prepares RFPs and certificate renewals as required
  • Resolves a full range of HR clients and external requests related to Affirmative Action and HR reporting
  • Audits record keeping and work processes across Human Resources to ensure data quality and fulfillment of data governance and compliance requirements
  • Develops quality reports, metrics and scorecards utilizing available reporting tools
  • Identifies and debugs data and reporting issues, developing process and/or solutions to ensure top data quality and accuracy in all reporting
  • Responsible for OFCCP compliance reviews to include, but not limited to: desk audit reviews, and on-site audits with assistance from the Director, Legal, AA Consultants and HR team
  • Monitors for regulatory changes and distributes necessary information to implement changes to various HR areas and keeps internal policies and procedures up to date
  • Responsible for the training and coaching of HR employees on reporting and Affirmative Action compliance

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with data and reporting using SQL, Oracle HCM Cloud reporting tools (OTBI, BI Publisher), Power BI, or comparable BI reporting tools
  • At least one year of project management
  • Must be able to comprehend, manipulate, and interpret data and reports
  • Strong aptitude in data analysis, metrics and reporting
  • Ability to maintain all required documentation and records in an organized and accessible format
  • Ability to work in team environment as well as independently
  • Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities

Minimum Qualifications:

  • HS diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Statistics or relevant field preferred
  • 3 years of relevant experience
  • Must possess analytical skills
  • Must be able to comprehend, manipulate and interpret statistical data
  •  Demonstrated ability to communicate verbally and in writing throughout all levels of organization, both internally and externally
  • Proficient use of applicable technology
