With over 25 years of experience providing accounting and consulting services, CBIZ MHM, LLC (CBIZ) has established the Credit Risk Advisory Group with a practice focused on providing debt and equity transactional due diligence, loan portfolio reviews, asset based lending and asset securitization review services to the financial services industry. We support clients and engagement both across the country and internationally.

CBIZ’s Credit Risk Advisory Group serves the needs of a diversified client base, including financial institutions, private equity and hedge funds, and institutional investors. Our professionals provide services specifically tailored to our clients' changing needs, including the varying aspects of initial or periodic analysis for financial transactions. We have experience across multiple asset classes and specialty lending areas.
Our Credit Risk Advisory Group is a practice focused on due diligence, loan portfolio reviews, asset based lending and asset securitization and specialty lending reviews, and services to the financial services industry. We also provide co-sourced and outsourced risk management solutions.

Essential Functions and Primary Duties

  • Lead and grow the commercial loan analysis, loan review and credit consulting function that provides high-quality financial statement spreading and commercial credit analysis and loan review consulting for both initial underwriting purposes and annual reviews of existing credits, and credit review training
  • Provide direction and leadership in the national roll-out of these developing CBIZ services
  • Responsible for completion of engagements, including managing all aspects of project
  • Conduct field work and analysis both remotely and on-site (consistent travel required)
  • Develop qualified and highly motivated analytical staff on a schedule that will enable the department to take advantage of new growth opportunities
  • Manage and devise a growth plan for the commercial loan analysis, loan review, credit review training and credit consulting function
  • Spread corporate financial statements of client’s present and prospective commercial borrowers
  • Provide expert written financial analyses of commercial borrowers to serve as one credit analytical client tool in the initial and on-going review process
  • Prepare, through a thorough training process, to take over the management of a unit
  • Participate in the marketing effort required to achieve the unit’s growth potential
  • Meet new business prospects and actively service existing clients

Preferred Qualifications

  • Minimum of 7 to 15 years of exemplary experience in commercial loan analysis preferred
  • Strong analytical abilities and a thorough understanding of account principals preferred
  • Ability and desire to lead growth-oriented marketing programs along with entrepreneurial spirit and drive is preferred

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred in Accounting, Taxation or related field business field
  • 7 years of experience in public accounting or related
  • 5 years supervisory experience
  • Must have and preserve required licenses
  • Ability to manage deadlines, work on multiple assignments and prioritize each assignment as necessary
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate verbally and in writing throughout all levels of organization, both internally and externally
  • Proficient use of applicable technology
  • Must be able to travel based on client and business needs
