Essential Functions and Primary Duties

  • Support Client team to perform a variety of clerical tasks to assist in maintenance of client accounts.  
  • Participate in basic client services such as issuing certificates, processing various documents, ordering various reports, assisting with spreadsheets, and invoicing.
  • Research, communicate and accurately resolve basic customer service needs according to the commitments and standards set forth by the department.
  • Assist in preparation and production of professional materials for presentations.
  • Exhibit client focused behavior and applies knowledge and training to support client needs.
  • Answer calls, research and process customer requests, and documents as appropriate.
  • Ensure that all internal controls and procedures are followed.
  • Input data into the appropriate software for vendors/carriers/clients within required timeframe.
  • Demonstrate expertise when operating all department equipment and software applications.
  • Execute administrative duties as assigned.
  • Additional responsibilities as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Support the Account Management Team with the renewal process
  • Gather client census data, current / renewal plan design and rate information, historical claims experience data, and any additionally related materials required to prepare RFP for client renewals and prospective groups
  • Analyze market proposals received to verify benefits, premium rates and competitiveness
  • Finalize client spreadsheets in accordance with internal requirements and client requests
  • Prepare and coordinate materials for the enrollment process and other formal client presentations​

Minimum Qualifications Required

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • At least 5 years of relevant work experience in the insurance industry.
  • Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently.
  • Must maintain current required licenses and certifications relevant to field of expertise.
  • Proficient use of applicable technology.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate verbally and in writing throughout all levels of organization, both internally and externally.
