Job Purpose/Objective

  • Accountable for the engagement and strategic Wellbeing plans that enhance employer benefit package and employee culture through the use of analytics and other wellbeing solutions. 
  • Leads the Wellbeing function and group of teams and multiple departments of a large number of professional employees, and subordinate supervisory personnel.  

Essential Functions and Primary Duties

  • Provide overall vision and direction to the Wellbeing consulting team
  • Drive, design and execute the overall data and analytic Engagement and Wellbeing strategy
  • Establish departmental goals and objectives
  • Manage operations, including staff training and development, contract negotiations and production planning
  • Prepare comprehensive budget that delivers the greatest value to the business
  • Leverage market data to drive growth
  • Lead definition and direction for new or revised services, programs, processes, policies, standards or operational plans
  • Solve customer needs and concerns through product innovations
  • Manage accountability and stewardship of human, financial and physical resources in compliance with organizational goals and objectives
  • Manage systems and procedures to protect departmental assets
  • Increase standards of customer service and ensure quality consistency across departments
  • Align business and workforce needs to ensure the organization has the right people, with the right skills, at the right time and cost to execute efficiently and successfully
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Ensure that all products and tools align with and support CBIZ Employee Benefits’ strategic initiatives
  • Leverage appropriate resources across markets, regions, and business groups
  • Utilize broad health care experience to anticipate market trends, internal needs, and client needs
  • Create a culture of accountability within the consulting team
  • Work with CBIZ Employee Benefits Senior Leaders to establish and articulate CBIZ engagement and Wellbeing vision and strategy

Minimum Qualifications Required

  • 5- 8 years’ experience managing multiple clients of increasing complexity.
  • At least 7 years’ experience supervising and leading highly technical staff.
  • Advanced knowledge of analytics used in recommending employee wellbeing initiatives
  • Demonstrated ability to utilize claim data to create outcomes based solutions
  • Consulting experience including change management, business consulting, and project implementation disciplines. 
  • Demonstrate industry experience; product knowledge, proposal process, technology, regulatory trends, and presentations skills
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate verbally and in writing throughout all levels of the organization, both internally and externally
  • Expert knowledge of state and federal legislation and regulations impacting discipline
  • Expertise in managing clients and staff

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Health Sciences, Health & Wellness, or Healthcare Administration
  • Advanced problem solving and critical thinking skills
  • Proficient use of applicable technology
  • Interest in and knowledge of the life and health insurance industries
  • Must maintain current required licenses and certifications relevant to the field of expertise
