Our San Francisco, CA office is currently hiring for a Cyber Analyst.

Essential Functions and Primary Duties

  • Serve as a cyber risk analyst to manage and execute quantitative risk analyses and remediation activities.
  • Identify risks in security systems and work with technical experts and business stakeholders to resolve security issues.
  • Identify key concepts, factors, and risks based on conversations and document reviews, and document these in clear and concise narratives or graphical reports.
  • Maintain responsibility for compiling contextual data, researching, and creating evaluation reports on risk activities in the furtherance of risk mitigation programs.
  • Assess information provided by various entities, both internal and external, and understand conceptual view of multiple data points in analyzing risk scenarios
  • Analyze business and user needs, document business risk concerns, and evaluate risk reduction options
  • Work with clients to mitigate cyber risk and threats

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Critical and analytical thinking skills
  • Being curious about quantitative risk management and willing to learn new skills
  • Possess strong foundation of knowledge of cybersecurity, security software and hardware components, and information security safeguards
  • Knowledge of general computer systems, network systems and databases
  • Experience with cyber risk, financial or credit reviews and analysis
  • Experience with analytic report writing, briefings and presentations
  • Design/review policies and procedures that support the implementation of cyber risk assessment programs
  • Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to multitask and make decisions based on various contextual data sets

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certified in OpenFAIR, CRISC or other risk-related certifications
  • Knowledge of statistical concepts and probability
  • Knowledge if IT GRC technology platforms
  • Experience with RSA Archer software
  • Consulting experience (in Information security or risk management)
