Essential Functions and Primary Responsibilities:

  • Compiling information for new and recon Medicaid applications following up with resident, family members and internal/external sources to ensure timely completion
  • Completing and/or following-up on all forms related to Medicaid eligibility (SRT, 3871, ID Screen, LOC, etc.)
  • Maintaining and updating DHR list/Provider Relations
  • Maintaining/updating Medicaid Pending log
  • Travel is required at least 50% of the time

Minimum Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelors degree preferred
  • Must be able to work in a team environment
  • Superior command of verbal, written and negotiation skills
  • Knowledge of Medicaid and Charity Care and experience in a hospital environment is a plus
  • Ability to speak and read Spanish is a plus
  • Understanding of NJ Medicaid program to assist individuals in the application process
  • Excellent communication skills (oral and written) and organization skills
  • Must have and maintain required licenses/credentials
  • Must be able to travel based on client and business needs
  • Presentation skills mandatory
  • Must be reliable, self directed and self-motivated and able to work in a fast paced environment
