CBIZ Retirement Plan Services (CBIZ RPS) is the largest Investment Advisor in the Cleveland, OH area and provides institutional consulting solutions to corporations, public entities, and non-profit organizations.  We primarily consult with companies on their 401(k), 403(b), or defined benefit pension plans, specializing in investment management, investment consulting, as well as compliance and design.  In total, CBIZ RPS consults on approximately $13 billion in assets, and our clients range from large multinational publicly-traded companies to small businesses.

Our CBIZ Cleveland office is home to our corporate headquarters. It is also comprised of several business entities that provide accounting, insurance, payroll and employee benefits services - all working together to help your company grow and succeed.

CBIZ is seeking a Cash Application/Billing Specialist for our RPS team located in the Corporate office in Cleveland, OH. 

Essential Functions and Primary Duties:

  • Perform day to day financial transactions including verifying, classifying, computing, posting and recording accounts receivable data
  • Keep track and process accounts and incoming payments in compliance with financial policies and procedures
  • Prepare and send out invoices 
  • Billing responsibilities include: all aspects of the billing process, recording receipts into billing system, maintaining accounts receivables and preparing monthly reminder statements of overdue accounts and other financial reports as needed
  • Verify billing accounts with accounts receivable ledger to ensure that all payments are accounted for and properly posted 
  • Verify discrepancies by client and resolve clients' billing issues 
  • Facilitate swift payment of invoices due to the organization by sending bill reminders to outstanding accounts 
  • Work with commission processors to research client/vendor payments and insure correct posting in the commission system 
  • Assist in documentation and monitoring of internal controls 
  • Assist with monthly close procedures
  • Assist with internal and external audits 
  • Other Projects as assigned 

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree Preferred
  • 3 Years of experience as a subject matter expert
  • Experience in the retirement industry preferred
  • Highly detail oriented and organized in work
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a customer service focus
  • Ability to act and operate independently with minimal daily direction from manager to accomplish objectives
  • Proficiency with email and Microsoft Office applications
  • Highly Proficient in Excel
  • Familiar with billing/receivables software such as Acumatica and QuickBooks
  • Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with all levels of employees, management, and external agencies to maximize performance, creativity, problem solving, and results
