The CBIZ Business Unit President is responsible for ensuring the highest level of work product quality, client satisfaction, retention of existing client base, identifying new sales opportunities, and professional growth of CBIZ employees. This is accomplished through; the engagement of client services team members and benefits consultants, acting as a market influencer and is effective in making and executing decisions that positively impact the local market. This position also functions as a Sales Leader/Producer and is accountable for a personal sales quota to increase market share, while assisting in creating sales plans to achieve maximum revenue potential. This position reports to the Chief Growth Officer which is accountable for multiple markets.

Primary Responsibilities:

Market Leader

  • Understand local market competitors, including products and services offered by competitors and, where different from local unit.
  • Develop and execute a plan and process for developing new business
  • Retain existing client base and expand business with existing clients
  • Influence cross-serving as a culture for the local unit and overall organization
  • Manage process that measures the utilization of staff, and the efficiency and profitability of each product and service delivered on client engagement.
  • Influence best practices within the local market
  • Anticipate problems, creatively assess alternatives and manage conflicts
  • Develop, support, train and motivate staff

Sales Leader

  • Achieve local market set sales objectives
  • Document and measure sales results with SalesForce.com
  • Ensure proper record keeping and tracking within SalesForce.com
  • Producer Recruiting, Identification of Tuck-ins,
  • Field coaching for sales consultants
  • Providing performance feedback regularly to Regional Head
  • Establish schedule and lead sales meetings
  • Sales pipeline management
  • Development and monitoring of sales team
  • Vendor relationship management

Qualifications

  • 10 years demonstrated industry consultative sales skills represented through proven sales results
  • Must have and maintain required licenses/credentials
  • Superior command of verbal, written, presentation and negotiation skills
  • Proficient use of applicable technology
  • Experienced to lead, manage, and conduct client business development and consulting delivery activities
  • Excellent planning and organizing skills with ability to effectively direct the company’s overall objectives to maximize revenues and profits
  • Exhibit leadership capabilities and the ability to listen to and communicate with staff effectively
  • Able to engage team and maximize productivity
  • Possess an ownership mentality balanced with large company focus and common culture
  • Demonstrate initiative, imagination, resourcefulness, creativity, and independent thinking
  • Strict adherence to professional ethics
  • Significant civic responsibility and social presence
