Essential Functions and Primary Duties

Bookkeeping and Accounting

  • Complete bookkeeping and accounting duties for external clients

    • Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: bookkeeping, reconciling bank statements, working with QuickBooks and other trial balance programs

  • Organize and prepare work papers as supporting documentation to client deliverables

  • Process accounts payable and receivables

  • Prepare bank deposits and reconciliations

  • Prepare, review and file payroll, payroll reports, quarterly and annual governmental reports and financial forms such as 1099, 1096, W-2 and W-3

  • Comply with federal, state, and company policies, procedures, and regulations

  • Respond to routine client and management inquiries in a timely manner

  • Execute administrative duties as assigned

  • Additional responsibilities as assigned

Tax Preparation

  • Experience with or willingness to work on individual and business entity tax returns

Minimum Qualifications Required

  • High School Diploma or GED required along with 2 years of accounting experience. Associate’s degree preferred

  • Exceptional customer relations skills

  • Ability to manage time effectively

  • Demonstrated ability to communicate verbally and in writing throughout all levels of organization, both internally and externally

  • Proficient use of applicable technology
