CBIZ Talent & Compensation Solutions practice provides clients with compensation expertise to ensure compensation programs are competitive, fair and legally compliant. The Compensation practice is comprised of experts who will work with clients to design, implement and communicate employee and executive compensation and reward programs that drive organizational success. 

The Compensation practice is currently searching for a talented professional for the position of Associate Compensation Consultant in our St. Louis, Mo. offices. The Associate Compensation Consultant works on a team with other CBIZ consulting professionals to design and develop strategic compensation and benefits programs that contribute to our clients’ success and support their business strategies and objectives.

Essential Functions and Primary Duties 

  • Resolve a full range of internal and external customer requests and projects
  • Assists with the planning, design and implementation of base and variable pay, as well as executive compensation programs
  • Provides analytical support and research for client projects within broad range of industries
  • Conducts market-pricing of positions to assess market-competitive compensation; selects appropriate published surveys, matches actual job duties to published survey duties, analyzes and updates data
  • Analyzes public financial filing to value Executive and Board base salary, short-and long-term incentive opportunities, benefits and perquisites
  • Helps design salary structure and develop pay administration guidelines
  • Analyzes job analysis questionnaires or performs job analysis to create client job documentation
  • Performs financial modeling and statistical analyzes
  • Drafts reports of methodology, findings and recommendations to clients
  • Assists in preparing new business proposals
  • Help develop recommendations for new compensation strategies and philosophies
  • Performing additional responsibilities, as assigned 

Preferred Qualifications

  • The most qualified candidates will have a Bachelor’s in Business or Masters of Business Administration, with a concentration in accountancy, economics, finance, data analytics, or human resources
  • Relevant experience preferably with a major consulting firm is strongly desired
  • Possess analytical skills and ability to comprehend, manipulate and interpret statistical data
  • Effective presentation skills 

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree or Masters degree, preferred 
  • Works effectively in a team environment
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate verbally and in writing throughout all levels of the organization both internally and externally
  • Proficient use of applicable technology
  • High school diploma or GED required
