The Vice President of Recruitment is responsible for the development and execution of our company recruitment strategy to identify and attract the talent necessary to support our business and drive long-term growth. The role works closely with our business leaders and HR teams to understand, quantify, and plan for current and future talent needs including early career, experienced, and intern hires specific to each business division and service line. As a member the HR leadership team, this role leads our recruitment team (approx. 50 team members) and oversees external, third-party agency relationships to execute our recruitment strategy and provide actionable reporting. This role reports to the Chief Human Resources Officer.
We are looking for an experienced and innovative candidate with a proven track record of attracting top talent and developing and executing talent acquisition strategies that align to business goals. For this role, we are prioritizing experience with driving continuous improvement in the end-to-end recruitment process including the use and integration of various technology systems, platforms, and tools. We do anticipate the need to evaluate and implement a new application tracking system (ATS) as a part of a larger HRIS strategy in the near term and prior experience in transition to/implementation of an ATS would be beneficial. Further, we see significant opportunities to integrate AI and automation to improve the overall recruitment process for candidates, recruiters and hiring managers. As our resource model continues to evolve, our next recruitment leader will need the knowledge and expertise to adapt our strategy and approach to attract different kinds of talent including professionals with non-traditional or seasonal schedules or international hires.

Responsibilities:
• Develops and executes a recruitment strategy that support the company’s growth and long-term business objectives. Oversees full-cycle recruitment processes from sourcing to offer acceptance.
• Collaborates with executive leadership to understand the company’s current and future talent needs and aligns/adapts the recruitment strategy accordingly. Partners with business leaders to identify and understand the skill sets that will propel growth in our businesses.
• Leads a dynamic team to strengthen, adapt and drive continuous improvement in CBIZ’s comprehensive approach to recruitment aligned to our values-based culture. Manages team performance to ensure service levels are met or exceeded.
• Builds a strong pipeline of experienced professionals aligned to our business needs through strategic and proactive sourcing of candidates. Continuously evaluates and improves sourcing strategies including use of technology, social media, and other innovative tools.
• Utilizes data analytics to measure and analyze recruitment efforts to make data-driven decisions and recommendations.
• Provides actionable reporting to HR and business leaders on trends in recruitment, hiring and turnover. Oversees the development and publication of the recruitment KPI dashboard tool as a component of overall workforce planning and reporting efforts. Partners with the HR leadership team and business leaders to provide actionable insights on trends and to inform planning efforts.
• Partners with hiring managers and teams to support an effective applicant screening and interview process.
• Evaluates and negotiates agreements with search firms and staffing agencies to supplement the internal recruitment team and identify and secure top talent for key roles. Develops and maintains company-wide standards for all recruitment related third party agreements.
• Monitors, maintains, and reports on industry and market intelligence including recruitment benchmarks. Represents CBIZ in industry recruitment groups.
• Monitors market trends and best practices in recruitment to inform our approach and drive continuous improvement.
• Works in collaboration with our technology and innovation teams to identify opportunities to streamline the recruitment process including the integration of automation and related tools.
• Partners with Marketing team and Director of Corporate and Strategic Communications to shape the development and use of talent focused marketing and communications including social media. Monitors industry peers and competitors to drive continuous improvement with how we market to and communicate with potential applicants. Drives consistent messaging across all recruitment platforms that reflects our brand.
• Identifies and develops strategies to expand our relationships and partnerships with colleges, universities, professional associations, and related institutions to build and strengthen talent pipelines.
• Partners with diversity and inclusion leaders from across CBIZ and utilizes best practice information to advance efforts to reach diverse candidates and enhance the overall diversity of our talent pool.
• In partnership with the HR leadership team, drives continuous improvement in the onboarding process to position new hires for success.
• Supports the development of the annual HR budget.
• Serve as a visible cultural leader within the HR team and company.
• Leads efforts to engage with CBIZ alumni and maintain a strong alumni network.
• Supports acquisition growth strategy by serving as a subject matter expert during due diligence, integration, and ongoing execution.
• Ensures compliance with local, state, and federal laws and regulations.
