Essential Functions and Primary Duties

  • Perform daily cash reconciliation functions across multiple database and bank platforms
  • Review client account balances for accuracy and help resolve discrepancies in funding for payroll and tax liabilities
  • Perform monthly revenue reconciliations and prepare general ledger journal entries
  • Perform account analysis on historical billing/revenue data and exercise judgement in proposing financial forecasts
  • Utilize accounting knowledge and understanding of internal controls to identify control deficiencies and propose improvements as needed
  • Compile/update detailed task procedures and process flows
  • Support internal and external audits as needed (providing backup, addressing inquiries, etc.)
  • Provide backup coverage for other tasks as necessary
  • Additional responsibilities as assigned

Preferred Qualifications

  • CPA or eligible CPA candidate
  • Bachelor’s Degree or three years of experience in accounting, finance, banking, or related field
  • Experience with account/cash reconciliation
  • Experience with financial analysis

Minimum Qualifications Required

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Associate’s Degree in accounting or finance
  • Possess strong accounting knowledge (GAAP) from education or years of experience
  • Strong attention to detail/high level of accuracy
  • Excellent time management skills – consistently meets both internal & external deadlines
  • Demonstrates the ability to communicate verbally and in writing throughout all levels of organization, both internally and externally
  • Ability to resolve most one-off issues directly with other teams without requiring supervisor assistance
  • Effective customer service skills
  • Proficient use of applicable technology, including Microsoft Office suite
  • Intermediate to advanced Excel skills, including complex formulas and data functions
  • Ability to work in team environment as well as independently
  • Ability to analyze and prioritize multiple responsibilities with limited direction
