The Senior Audit Associate works as a member of the Risk & Advisory Services team in providing outstanding service to our valued clients.  This position performs accounting duties and will also work directly with corporate clients, under the supervision of upper level management.  Audit Seniors lead engagements and instruct Associates and Semi-Seniors on work to be performed, review the work done, and direct necessary revisions. Seniors are required to make decisions on all but the most unusual regulatory and compliance matters, with minimal assistance.


Essential Functions and Primary Duties:

  • Planning and executing day-to-day activities of regulatory audit engagements for Banking/Financial Service clients
  • Identifying and communicating compliance and audit issues to Managers and Managing Directors
  • Building relationships with clients and business partners
  • Ability to apply knowledge of business functions, strategies, and processes to provide services, solutions, advice, and improvement to clients served.
  • Applying your knowledge and comprehension of governance, compliance, and business process issues related to client business
  • Supervising and reviewing semi-senior and associate work, offer suggestions and guidance
  • Preparing audit reports

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred in Accounting, IT or related field preferred
  • CPA/CIA/CISA designation is preferred
  • 3 years of experience in public accounting or related field, with clients in the Banking/Financial Services industry
  • 1-year supervisory experience preferred 
  • Experience with Data Analytics software and scripting
  • Experience with implementing robotic process automation to create efficiencies
  • Team leadership skills/experience is a plus
  • Proficiency in MS office products, including Excel, Word and PowerPoint is required


Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 3 years of experience in related field
  • Must be able to work in a team environment
  • Presentation skills mandatory
  • Must possess analytical skills
  • Proficient use of applicable technology
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate verbally and in writing within all levels of an organization, both internally and externally
  • Must be able to travel based on client and business needs


The annual salary target for this job in this market is $90,000-$110,000. The specific compensation for this role will be determined based on the education, experience, and skill set of the individual selected for this position.
