CBIZ Valuation Group, one of the nation’s largest independent, full service valuation companies, is currently seeking a Real Estate Valuation Senior Manager that would be based in our Lawrenceville, NJ office.  The ideal candidate is one who is motivated and ready for an opportunity to work in a collaborative team environment where continued professional development is valued.  Our Valuation Senior Managers perform all aspects related to the commercial real estate valuation/appraisal.

Essential Functions and Primary Duties

  • Proficient at all Manager essential functions
  • Active in new client development
  • Assists Directors and Managing Directors in initial client meetings, presentations and proposal development on a regular basis
  • Understands the client's organization, procedures and internal policies and is able to discuss enhancements
  • Understands the client's overall business needs and identifies value-added services that CBIZ can provide and can assist in the process of implementing services
  • Manage and maintain multiple client relationships seeking ways to expand the delivery of services
  • Identify client issues and conflicts; communicate possible solutions to the client
  • Focus on CBIZ cross-serving
  • Responsible for collections on assigned clients
  • Schedule staff effectively to meet assigned clients' needs in a timely fashion while remaining mindful of staffing needs
  • Exhibit strong leadership qualities
  • Possess an ownership mentality
  • Developing and closing new client business opportunities
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, effective time-management and ability to multi-task
  • Capable of developing an overall engagement budget, and capable of managing and performing engagements on budget and on time
  • Has direct responsibility for meeting specific performance goals as defined by Managing Director or Director, including:
    • Minimum billing/utilization targets
    • Minimum managed revenue target
    • Minimum revenue origination target
    • Engagement realization of 80% or better
  • Seek leadership positions in business organizations and maintain strong relationships with at least five business associates who are potential referral sources
  • Capable of developing an overall engagement budget and engagement plan
  • Strong desire to achieve Director level
  • Continue professional development to include industry specialization
  • Additional responsibilities as assigned

Preferred Qualifications

  • MAI designation is required
  • State licensure or certification is required
  • Proficient computer ability relative to administrative programs, spreadsheets, valuation or real estate software (such as Argus), time entry, word processing and internet research

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 7 years of experience in real estate valuation field
  • 5 years of supervisory experience
  • Ability to manage all aspects of client engagements
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate verbally and in writing throughout all levels of organization, both internally and externally
  • Must be able to travel based on business needs
  • Proficient use of applicable technology
