Position Summary

An internship in Property & Casualty provides both a learning opportunity and valuable hands on experience working in an insurance brokerage firm. This position will assist in the preparation of client materials and serves as a resource to a client service team. This position will interact with various team members, our carrier partners and some of our valuable clients.

Essential Functions and Primary Duties  

• Support the creation of marketing and sales materials
• Conduct market analysis and research
• Assist in the creation of client materials
• Provide support to social media efforts
• Work closely with producers networking and developing leads
• Meet with prospective and existing clients
• Conduct sales presentation with the intent of selling an insurance product
• Provide support to the client service team
• Ensure timeframes and deliverables are met
• Perform all other duties as assigned
• Assist in management of data and reporting
• Assist in creating templates and documents

Preferred Qualifications:

• You enjoy working in a team environment
• You have basic Microsoft Office skills
• You have time management skills and the ability to multi-task
• You are interested in the Insurance Industry  

Minimum Qualifications

• High School Diploma
• In pursuit of a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Risk Management and Insurance
• Must be able to work in a team environment
• Active participation in student organizations and work experience in related field a plus
