Essential Functions and Primary Duties

  • Understand client needs and offering personal insurance solutions and support 
  • Customize insurance programs to meet the needs of potential clients
  • Prepare applications and necessary documents for new business opportunities
  • Present and deliver information to potential clients
  • Ability to resolve potential client issues and concerns
  • Setup new business accounts and be the assigned Account Manager once the account has been bound
  • Work with Commercial Production teams to proactively identify and act on cross-serve opportunities
  • Deliver exceptional client service to clients and colleagues
  • Build effective relationship Responsible for quoting, binding and servicing new and existing accounts
  • Maintain a high degree of technical competence and industry/market expertise
  • Support, maintain and manage a book of business
  • Stay abreast of changes in the clients’ lifestyle that impact coverage
  • Review client exposures and current coverage to recommend appropriate products and services
  • Provide proactive day-to-day service; anticipating and evaluating the clients’ need and propose a variety of solutions to manage the clients’ risk
  • Respond to client questions and issues timely and accurately
  • Conduct client advisory reviews
  • Accountable for client retention through delivery of exceptional client service
  • Negotiate with multiple insurance carriers to provide coverage options for clients and prospects
  • Communicate clients’ risk solution and binding instructions to carriers
  • Utilizes Sagitta and ImageRight to enter and maintain all client information in an accurate and timely manner
  • Rounding accounts to ensure the client has a well-rounded insurance program
  • Escalate internal and external service concerns that clients may be experiencing to appropriate team members/leaders for action and prevention of further client impact
  • Maintain appropriate insurance license
  • Additional responsibilities as assigned

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • More than 5 years customer service experience in the insurance industry required
  • Must maintain current required licenses and certifications relevant to field of expertise
  • Demonstrates the ability to communicate verbally and in writing throughout all levels of organization, both internally and externally
  • Advanced customer service skills
  • Proficient use of applicable technology
  • Ability to work in team environment as well as independently
  • Must be able to travel based on client and business needs
