The National Training Manager will work as a member of MHM’s Learning and Development Team with primary responsibilities and oversight of a local office training program for MHM’s approximately 30 office locations.  The role includes managing a group of local office training champions, developing content throughout the year for delivery by the local office champions, conducting train the trainer sessions, and assisting with content delivery when needed. The National Training Manager will also assist with managing the annual virtual training program calendar and monitoring compliance with attendance requirements.  This role will report to the National Director of Training.  This role can be performed in any CBIZ MHM office, or on a fully remote basis.

Essential Functions/Primary Duties

  • Design and develop training materials for delivery by local office training champions and assist with training delivery when necessary
  • Manage a network of local office champions, including developing relationships and providing vision for training delivery at the local level
  • Serve as the first point of contact for internal clients seeking local training assistance
  • Manage MHM’s virtual training calendar, including drafting communications and information about upcoming sessions
  • Monitor local office training compliance and effectiveness for individual office locations
  • Additional responsibilities as assigned

Preferred Qualifications

  • CPA firm or similar professional services experience in auditing and accounting
  • Strong communications skills both verbal and written with experience conducting in-person and virtual training preferred
  • Desire to influence, guide, and motivate others
  • Strong command of the Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Teams, and Zoom
  • Willingness to travel for training delivery throughout the United States
  • Ability to multi-task, think independently and problem while managing deadlines and prioritizing projects
  • Self-motivated and must be comfortable working independently or as part of a team

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s Degree preferred in Accounting, Taxation, or related field
  • 6 years of experience in public accounting or related field
  • 3 years of supervisory experience
  • Must have active CPA or equivalent certification
  • Ability to manage all aspects of client engagements
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate verbally and in writing throughout all levels of organization, both internally and externally
  • Must be able to travel based on business needs
  • Proficient use of applicable technology

The annual salary target for this job in this market is $115,000-$155,000. The specific compensation for this role will be determined based on the education, experience, and skill set of the individual selected for this position.
