CBIZ Insurance Services, Inc. (Property & Casualty) is looking for an experienced, creative, energetic and passionate communications professional to support the business development initiatives and sales efforts. The Marketing & Communications Specialist will serve as a primary marketing resource for our sales team.  In this capacity, they will create and execute targeted marketing communication strategies and tactics to support the day-to-day needs of the business unit.

Essential Functions and Primary Duties

Content Marketing

  • Develop short- and long-form thought leadership content to promote services, build awareness and enhance SEO including but not limited to emails, blogs, ebooks, infographics, advertisements, and website
  • Researches market trends, advances pertinent findings and recommendations to leadership, creates compelling content based on researched trends
  • Research, write, edit, proofread and manage content, working collaboratively with subject matter experts to translate information into compelling and engaging messaging.
  • Act as lead marketing contact for specialty insurance programs, including managing/developing social channels, content, advertising and engaging lead generation campaigns.
  • Manage blog(s), creating regular and relevant blog content that garners strong traffic while providing SEO benefits.
  • Follow and understand industry-specific trends, competitive insights, customer needs,  evolve and optimize editorial content strategy in coordination with team; translate industry-specific  information into compelling, engaging and targeted language

Digital Marketing

  • Supports P&C digital marketing strategy; draft and propose campaigns to support acquisition and retention goals that optimize conversions; partner with and assist digital marketing lead to execute campaigns
  • Manage external websites, including updating and uploading content on P&C pages of corporate site as well as creating and managing external specialty insurance websites.
  • Manage and execute monthly newsletters via CRM, create and execute pro-active industry specific email campaigns
  • Support and assist digital lead manager as needed such as lead hand off, email template creation, email execution, metrics and data pulls.
  • Support and help optimize paid media efforts, including but not limited to Google Ads, LinkedIn, Facebook, etc.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Love for writing and storytelling
  • Experience as a content development professional
  • Experience using InDesign or other professional graphic design programs
  • Experience with web development/maintenance
  • Experience with paid media, particularly Google Ads
  • Familiar with SEO, lead generation tactic
  • Familiar with CRM such as Salesforce/Pardot
  • Knowledge of the P&C insurance industry 
  • Ability to learn new skills as they become necessary.
  • Ability to function in a collaborative organization and be a team player.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Communications or related field
  • 3-years experience, 4-6 years of B2B Marketing experience preferred
  • Highly detail oriented and organized with strong analytical skills
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively communicate with all levels of firm management, staff and vendors
  • Effective at building relationships with colleagues, peers and management
  • Ability to work with limited supervision
  • Excellent computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.  Familiarity with Adobe Creative Cloud and Salesforce a plus
  • Ability to analyze and prioritize multiple responsibilities
