Our office has been providing accounting services to the Chicago area since 1953, though the CBIZ name was introduced in 1998 when purchased by CBIZ. Today, CBIZ MHM, LLC Chicago provides accounting, tax and accounting software implementation services. Audit and attest services are provided by MHM. 

CBIZ Chicago office is looking for an IT Support Specialist. The IT Support Specialist will be responsible for executing specific technology assignments related to support, maintenance, basic analysis and troubleshooting.

Job Purpose / Objective

• Responsible for executing specific technology assignments related to support, maintenance, basic analysis and troubleshooting

Essential Functions and Primary Duties

  • Monitor and support software, operating systems and hardware technology
  • Ensure the proper function of locations provided technology (e.g. desktops, laptops, printers, AV, etc).
  • Troubleshoot and document network user and computer account issues while providing recommendations for resolution
  • Maintain location's technology inventory
  • Coordinate any hardware recalls and consult with third party to resolve hardware, software, or warranty issues
  • Identify opportunities for improvement to mitigate risk and optimize technology
  • Ensure assigned projects are completed and deployed within designated timelines

Qualifications Required

  • BS or BA in Information Technology, Information Systems, or Computer Engineering required
  • 1 year related experience
  • Proficient use of applicable technology
  • Ability to follow technical instructions and guidelines
  • Ability to document daily activities and system functions
  • Able to work in a team environment
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate verbally and in writing throughout all levels of an organization, both internally and externally
  • Ability to travel locally as required by business
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
