As an International Tax Manager within our expanding CBIZ National Tax Office and reporting directly to the national tax leadership team, you will play a critical role in providing tax consulting and compliance services to a broad client base.  Teaming with local office tax professionals primarily in California, you will have the opportunity to build long-lasting relationships with our clients and further develop and enhance your advisory and technical skills.  International tax rules are constantly evolving as are our clients’ needs, and this role will allow you to be a key part of that development.

Essential Functions and Primary Duties

  • Serve as international tax expert on key accounts and demonstrate proficient technical skills and knowledge of global tax trends and developments
  • Proactively identify potential international tax planning opportunities for clients and assist in solution development and implementation
  • Participate with offices in connection with international tax compliance for clients
  • Participate in thought leadership in the international tax area, including webinars, articles and planning ideas
  • Participate in national or local training as an instructor on international tax matters
  • Complete technical and strategic reviews to ensure quality control standards are met
  • Contribute to new client development in partnership with local offices; participate in client meetings, presentations and proposal development
  • Manage and retain multiple client relationships, engagements and special projects
  • Consistently meet charge hour goals
  • Listen and communicate effectively
  • Foster a team environment; demonstrates support of management and decisions and build a positive culture
  • Participate in practice and business development activities that lead to the generation of new business and the opportunities for cross-serves
  • Additional responsibilities as assigned

Minimum Qualifications Required

  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred in Accounting, Finance or relevant field
  • 7 years experience in public accounting or related field
  • 5 years supervisory
  • Must have and preserve required licenses
  • Ability to manage deadlines, work on multiple assignments and prioritize each assignment as necessary
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate verbally and in writing throughout all levels of organization, both internally and externally
  • Proficient use of applicable technology
  • Must be able to travel based on business needs
