This position will provide Human Resources support and consultation to drive performance and achieve New England business unit objectives. Reporting to the HR Director, he/she will partner with local practice leadership through the delivery of HR support and services to the New England team.
Essential Functions and Primary Duties:
• Develop productive and collaborative working relationships at all levels of the organization to advance business performance through successful execution of talent strategy.
• Team with national recruiting resources to attract, select and assimilate talent for both campus and experienced hires.
• Partner with Human Resources Director to lead and facilitate talent management programs including semi-annual performance evaluation process and annual compensation and rewards review for multiple employee populations.
• Provide guidance and consultation on employee relations and compliance matters. Coach and support group leaders and conduct investigations when necessary.
• Design, manage and facilitate new employee onboarding program, including pre/post arrival communication and processing, first day/week/month activity coordination.
• Manage the administration of various HR programs and initiatives, including; salary administration, health & welfare benefits, leave of absence, performance coaching and other key programs.
• Drive local engagement activities and support national programs and initiatives.
• Proficiently maintain and leverage the Human Capital Management (HCM) system for accurate, compliant employee data and reporting.
• Manage employee professional development programs including Becker CPA review and educational assistance. Track and report on CPA licensing progress/attainment.
• Serve as liaison between Associates and Employee Service Center to resolve benefit matters.
• Conduct all exit interviews, track turnover metrics and trends and communicate data and recommend actions to continuously improve employee retention.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in business, human resources or related field
• Prior experience in the public accounting industry or a professional services environment
• PHR or SHRM-CP designation
• Ability to effectively manage projects to completion within stated deadlines
• Strong initiative and creative problem solving skills
• Strong business acumen
• Excellent judgement, professional discretion and the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information
• Excellent listening skills, consultative approach and positive presence
• Superb attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to prioritize work, multi-task and complete assignments independently
• Highly competent in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
• Must be willing to travel weekly between the Boston and Providence offices
• Ability to work outside of standard business hours during busy season
Qualifications Required:
• High School diploma or GED
• 3 years experience as HR generalist
• Demonstrated ability to communicate verbally and in writing throughout all levels of organization,
both internally and externally
• Ability to negotiate and solve problems
• Able to work in team environment
• Proficient in applicable technology
• Strong organizational skills, time management and multi-tasking ability and prioritizing
• Ability to travel as required by business needs
