Job Purpose/Objective 

  • Lead a team of both exempt and nonexempt professionals in the delivery of national human resources outsourcing services for a variety of industries. 
  • Responsible for operational effectiveness, process improvement, client and vendor relations, managing personnel, managing client projects, helping and creating organizational budgets in collaboration with leadership and other miscellaneous tasks. 
  • Accountable for the development and implementation of organizational strategies, policies and practices. 

Essential Functions and Primary Duties 

Operational Effectiveness 

  • Regularly assess and improve the operational systems, processes, workflows, staff and policies in support of organizations strategy  
  • Maintain ongoing knowledge of service offerings, successes, and challenges, to present new ideas for improved service and support (internally and externally). 
  • Play a significant role in long-term planning, drive initiatives that contribute to long-term operational excellence. 
  • Assist with resolving basic and/or escalated customer problems and/or complaints with team.  
  • Evaluate operation’s financial strategies by estimating, forecasting, and anticipating requirements, trends, and variances; aligning monetary resources; developing action plans; measuring and analyzing results; initiating corrective actions; minimizing the impact of variances. 
  • Key contributor for operational resource/documentation maintenance and updates including Key Master Documents, process documents, checklists, templates, and other resources/documentation used by the team. 

Human Resources Operations Leadership 

  • Responsible for maintaining knowledge of industry trends and employment legislation and ensures compliance with federal, state and local legislation pertaining to all HR matters. 
  • Manage human resources operations staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, training, coaching, counseling, and disciplining staff; Responsible for  annual review, preparation and administration of the organization's wage and salary program. 
  • Oversee sales function, approve all materials and pricing. 
  • Perform operations duties ad serves as a billable consultant services as needed.  

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Strong background and work experience in Human Resources (5+ years) 
  • At least 3 years of experience in customer service 
  • High level of business acumen and understanding of budgets 
  • Excellent computer skills and proficient in Excel, Word, and Outlook 
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written 
  • Knowledge and experience in organizational effectiveness and operations management implementing best practices. 
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a collaborative management style. 
  • A demonstrated commitment to high professional ethical standards and a diverse workplace 
  • Excels at operating in an fast pace environment 
  • Excellent people manager, open to direction and collaborative work style and commitment to get the job done 
  • High comfort level working in a diverse environment 
  • Certified with PHR / SHRM-CP, preferred

Minimum Qualifications 
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Over 8 years’ experience in area of expertise with increasing complexity
  • At least 6 years’ experience managing and leading staff
  • Must maintain current required licenses and certifications relevant to field of expertise
  • Demonstrate industry experience; product knowledge, proposal process, underwriting, regulatory trends, and presentations skills
  • Proficient use of applicable technology
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate verbally and in writing throughout all levels of the organization, both internally and externally
  • Expert knowledge of state and federal legislation and regulations impacting discipline
  • Expertise in managing clients 
  • Advanced problem solving and critical thinking skills
