CBIZ Corporate Leadership is seeking an intern to support the Chief of Staff with day-to-day operations with a focus on internal communications, change management, project management and advancing corporate strategy.

The purpose of the CBIZ internship program is to enable current students with an interest in the professional services industry to gain experience with operations and strategy in a public company environment.

This internship will provide:

Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Development and refinement of internal communications including written communications, speeches/talking points, graphics, presentations, reports, articles/thought leadership and videos to reach and engage our CBIZ team with essential information and updates.
  • Development and refinement of external communications in a variety of forms that help to articulate and illustrate our culture, strategy and operations for select external audiences.
  • Support for an overall communication strategy with integrated technology that engages leaders and team members with innovative tools and channels to improve meaningful information sharing between corporate and the field.
  • Support the launch of new initiatives and strategies with comprehensive communications.
  • Assist in establishing standards to drive consistency in communications.
  • Conduct research and synthesis findings on best practices.
  • Planning, support and continuous improvement for company meetings and events including logistics, content, and follow-up.


  • You must be at least 18 years old
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Outstanding verbal and written communications skills, social media savvy and understanding of digital and social networking tools and platforms
  • Graphic design experience is greatly preferred
  • Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, ability to work in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment
  • Comfort/confidence with multi-tasking and the capacity to support multiple projects/initiatives at the same time
  • Strong interpersonal skills and high emotional intelligence
