The Content Marketing Coordinator partners with the Employee Benefits Marketing Team to ideate and create effective content marketing that drives brand awareness, buyer engagement and eventually revenue-generating opportunities for a team of 100+ sales associates who sell B2B employee benefits consulting services.

Essential Functions and Primary Duties:

Copywriting and Content Development (50%)
•    Research, write, edit and manage all of division’s content marketing using primary and secondary research to translate information into compelling and engaging messaging. 
•    Create both long- and short-form content, including but not limited to emails, ebooks, blogs, advertisements and web.
•    Serve as lead copy editor for division’s marketing team.

Content Strategy (25%)
•    Develop editorial strategy, in collaboration with the Marketing Team, and maintain content marketing calendar.
•    Follow and understand industry trends, competitive insights, customer needs, content metrics and online conversations to map out, evolve and optimize editorial content strategy
•    Utilize marketing analytics, like existing Google Analytics reports, to drive future strategies

Content Scalability (25%)
•    Develop scalable processes for content creation with both internal and external subject-matter experts. 
•    Enhance existing content, including expanding and redeveloping existing content into new assets to strengthen our content library and create diverse content consumption
•    Collaborate with marketing teammates to maintain a consistent brand voice and message across all platforms.

Preferred Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Marketing, Communications or similar field
• Passion for writing and storytelling
• Historical experience writing B2B content
• Proven ability to write content for multiple mediums 
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with changing priorities
• Ability to work independently and take initiative
• Results driven and customer focused

Minimum Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree preferred
• 1 year of relevant experience
• Must be able to work in a team environment
• Demonstrated ability to communicate verbally and in writing throughout all levels of
organization, both internally and externally
• Proficient use of applicable technology
• Must be able to travel based on client and business needs
