Essential Functions & Primary Duties:

  • Reviewing staff level projects; including internal use financial statements, annual W-2/W-3 filings, 1099/1096, various federal and state payroll filings
  • Obtaining and maintaining a thorough understanding of financial reporting, balance sheet reconciliations and general ledger structure
  • Ensuring timely reporting of all monthly client financial information
  • Managing a client base for weekly, monthly, and annual bookkeeping services and special projects
  • Providing various training and support for other team members of the ASBS group and other firm departments
  • Developing and maintaining relationships with internal staff and clients
  • Attending networking and marketing events, representing the ASBS department and all firm services
  • Occasionally working remotely with clients at their off-site locations to facilitate their financial reporting needs

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5-7 years of accounting experience
  • BA / BS degree or equivalent
  • Management experience
  • Knowledge of multiple QuickBooks editions, ProAdvisor, achieving ProAdvisor status within 1 year of hire date
  • Experience with other accounting programs such as MAS90, Peachtree, and Dynamics a plus
  • Familiarity with payroll processing
  • Background in family office a plus
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite including Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality and ethics
  • Ability to multi-task while meeting deadlines
  • Knowledge and understanding of GAAP, Tax Accounting, and Tax Depreciation
  • Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written), and the ability to work well in a team environment

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field preferred
  • Or High School Diploma (or GED) and 7 years’ experience in relevant field
  • Must have and preserve required licenses
  • Proficient use of applicable technology
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate verbally and in writing with all levels of an organization, both internally and externally
  • Ability to travel as required by business
