Our Bookkeepers (Client Services Representative II) assist our clients with their client clean up and ongoing accounting needs and to work with our small-medium business clients to with related accounting consulting aspects.      

Essential Functions and Primary Duties

  • Work on multiple clients performing a full breadth of management accounting services
  • Assistance as needed with accruals, payroll, month end close, accounts payable and prepared financial statements
  • Performing and reviewing reconciliations of balance sheet accounts and analyzing budget variances.
  • Assist clients with various other small business consulting matters such as budgeting, different QBO related applications, and improving accounting processes.
  • Utilize QuickBooks and QBO (as the primary client-used accounting system) and other accounting systems as needed.
  • Ability and willingness to travel (if/as needed) to clients within driving distance.
  • Interact well with clients, CBIZ tax staff and CBIZ Client Accounting & Advisory Services (CAAS) team.
  • Additional responsibilities as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience being a super star in accounting clean up situations
  • Previous experience successfully managing multiple clients
  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Credentials such as CMA or bookkeeping certifications.
  • Broad industry experience in service, contracting, construction and mfg
  • QBDT and QBO Certifications.
  • Strong integrity & transparency
  • Strong critical thinking skills
  • Self-Starter, hands on, hard worker, & ability to work autonomously
  • Ability to stay organized with multiple clients and updating clients and team on status
  • Excellent at meeting deadlines and managing internal and external expectations

Minimum Qualifications Required

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • At least 3 years of accounting experience.
  • Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently.
  • Must maintain current required licenses and certifications relevant to field of expertise.
  • Proficient use of applicable technology.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate verbally and in writing throughout all levels of the organization, both internally and externally.

The annual salary target for this job in this market is $50,000 - $80,000. The specific compensation for this role will be determined based on the education, experience, and skill set of the individual selected for this position.
