We are looking to hire an Audit Senior to join our Real Estate Team!  The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of experience in Public Accounting in the Real Estate Industry.

Our client base consists of virtually all real estate stakeholders, from individual owners to global institutional investors. This includes:

  • Owners, Builders and Developers of Commercial and Residential Real Estate
  • Co-ops and Condominiums
  • Property Managers
  • Real Estate Families
  • Institutional Investors
  • International Investors
  • Hotel Owners and Operations

Areas of Specialization:

  • Real Estate Development –Tax Planning and Transaction Services
  • Qualified Opportunity Zones
  • Affordable Housing
  • Family Wealth Planning
  • Real Estate Investment Trusts (REITs)

Essential Functions and Primary Duties

  • The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of experience in Public Accounting.
  • Experience should have involved small to large corporations in the real estate.
  • Required to have Profx Engagement or Caseware experience
  • Solid knowledge of GAAP and GAAS
  • Candidates should be prepared to meet challenging client requirements, provide value added services and should possess strong communication (both oral and written), interpersonal and analytical skills.
  • Planning and executing day-to-day activities of audit engagements
  • Identifying and communicating accounting and auditing matters to Managers and Partners
  • Building relationships with clients and business partners
  • Ability to apply knowledge of business functions, strategies and processes to provide services, solutions, advice and improvement to clients served.
  • Applying your knowledge and comprehension of professional standards and governing principles to client business
  • Supervising and reviewing semi-senior and associate work, offer suggestions and guidance
  • Preparing audited financial statements

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Master’s or Bachelors degree Accounting
  • 1 year supervisory experience
  • CPA candidate

Minimum Qualifications 

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 3 years of experience in public accounting or related field
  • Ability to manage deadlines, work on multiple assignments and prioritize each assignment as necessary
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate verbally and in writing throughout all levels of organization, both internally and externally
  • Proficient use of applicable technology
  • Must be able to travel based on client and business needs

The annual salary target for this job in this market is $80,000-$114,000. The specific compensation for this role will be determined based on education, experience and skill set of the individual selected for this position.
