Job Description: Executive / Administrative Assistant 

CBIZ Borden Perlman is looking for an Administrative Assistant. In order to perform their various duties, an Administrative Assistant must exhibit many varied skills and qualifications. At the core, the Administrative Assistant is a support position, meaning that communication and decision-making are paramount. The applicant will have to make independent decisions on a daily basis, addressing the best way to handle specific tasks. The Administrative Assistant must collaborate with other administrators and support personnel, management and clients on a regular basis. The position will require an ability to organize and prioritize. They must know how to keep themselves and others organized and how to determine which tasks are the most important in a given list. Spelling, punctuation, sentence structure and writing are essential to an Administrative Assistant, who must be proficient in a variety of styles, from creative to professional to technical to education and more. The main job requirement will be to work hand in hand with our Account Executive and keep everyone on task, managing our calendar and maximizing time management; ensuring we provide the best customer support for our clients. 

Essential Functions and Primary Duties

  • Manage executives calendar
  • Coordinate travel arrangements as requested
  • Prepare agendas and make arrangements for business meetings
  • Prepare various documents which may include invoices, reports, memos, letters, responses to correspondence, surveys, spreadsheets, proposals and presentations
  • Perform project work
  • File and retrieve documents, records, and reports
  • Additional responsibilities as assigned

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree 
  • Strong organizational and time management skills 

Qualifications Required

  • High school diploma or GED 
  • 2 years experience in office environment and preferably performing as an administrative assistant
  • Must have knowledge of administrative procedures
  • Proficient use of applicable technology
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate verbally and in writing throughout all levels of organization, both internally and externally
