Essential Functions and Primary Duties

  • Responsible for processing Accounts Payable invoices, using proper coding from the company’s General Ledger
  • Responsible for Accounts Receivable monitoring and communication on outstanding balances
  • Manage process of wire payments to be collected and received from clients for processed payrolls
  • Responsible for client payroll returns process for multiple payroll systems, including monitoring banking activity and working with clients to collect funds
  • Manage period end close process for assigned profit centers, including entries and reporting
  • Perform various assigned billing reconciliations and follow up on any items in question
  • Provide backup coverage for other tasks as necessary
  • Additional responsibilities as assigned

Preferred Qualifications 

  •  1-2 years collections experience 
  • Strong attention to detail/high level of accuracy 
  • Excellent time management skills - consistently meets both internal and external deadlines 
  • Ability to resolve most one-off issues directly with other teams without requiring supervisor assistance 
  • Effective customer service skills
  • Possesses intermediate to advanced Excel skills, including complex formulas and data functions
  • ability to analyze and prioritize multiple responsibilities with limited direction  

Minimum Qualifications 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or relevant field, or relevant experience in lieu of a degree
  • Two years of functional accounting experience
  • Proficient use of applicable technology
  • Able to work in team environment
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate verbally and in writing throughout all levels of an organization, both internally and externally
