We are looking for a motivated team player who is interested in learning various aspects of internal corporate accounting. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who would like to be in the accounting profession without the long hours associated with public accounting. This role is ideal for someone who is just beginning their accounting career and wants to gain hands-on experience.

Essential Functions and Primary Duties

  • Learn and assist with various internal accounting processes as needed including billing, collections, payables, intercompany, expense report approval, and general ledger accounting
  • Review employee timesheets for accuracy and completeness
  • Reconcile lists of clients and their affiliates so that auditor independence workpapers are kept up to date
  • Work as a backup to our CRM Specialist setting up new client accounts
  • Perform various ad-hoc reporting upon request
  • Other responsibilities as needed

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, or pursuing an accounting major, preferred
  • Strong understanding of Microsoft Excel
  • Client service mindset, meaning a spirit of cooperation and a positive “can do” attitude
  • Professional telephone manner and office demeanor
  • Strong attention to detail; ability to take initiative and to work well under pressure
  • Ability to work in team environment as well as independently/remotely

Minimum Qualifications Required

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Bachelor’s Degree or two years of experience on a specialized subject matter
  • Must maintain current required licenses and certifications relevant to field of expertise
  • Demonstrates the ability to communicate verbally and in writing throughout all levels of organization, both internally and externally
  • Effective customer service skills
  • Proficient use of applicable technology
  • Ability to work in team environment as well as independently
  • Ability to analyze and prioritize multiple responsibilities
