CBIZ, Inc. is seeking a full-time team member to perform accounting and clerical functions to ensure compliance with policies, procedures and GAAP.
Essential Functions and Primary Duties:
• Perform day to day financial transactions including verifying, classifying, computing, posting and processing accounts payable data
• Daily, monthly, quarterly and annual general ledger accounting duties which include posting journal entries, account reconciliations and financial statement variance explanations
• Prepare and code GL entries for month-end accruals, re-class and miscellaneous correcting entries
• Review and post transactions related to fixed asset acquisitions, disposals and CIP transfers
• Support internal and external groups with information requests related to fixed assets
• Manage intercompany journal entries
• Support finance team with audits and special projects
Preferred Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
• Proven communication, organization, interpersonal, analytical and problem-solving skills
• The desire to be a committed team member to assist in other areas of the company’s operations
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
• Handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
• Ability to be successful and comfortable in a role with changing tasks, priorities and systems
• Accuracy and attention to detail
Minimum Requirements:
• High school diploma or GED
• Bachelor’s Degree or two years of experience on a specialized subject matter
• Must maintain current required licenses and certifications relevant to field of expertise
• Demonstrates the ability to communicate verbally and in writing throughout all levels of
organization, both internally and externally
• Effective customer service skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel, Word) and applicable technology (Oracle and Concur)
• Ability to work in team environment as well as independently
• Ability to analyze and prioritize multiple responsibilities
