We are currently seeking a Client Accounting Manager to join our Managed Accounting Solutions team. The ideal candidate will have a strong accounting background and enjoy building relationships with clients to gain an in-depth understanding of their business objectives and act as a trusted advisor. Public accounting experience would be a plus for this position, however it is not a requirement. 

Essential Functions and Primary Duties

  • Perform account reconciliations, review journal entries and oversee financial statement preparation to manage the overall general accounting and financial reporting function for clients
  • Increase the accuracy and transparency of the Company’s financial activity and financial standing by preparing and presenting financial reports and dashboards that help our clients understand their Company financials
  • Perform cash projections to effectively manage cash balances and maximize the return on any excess cash balance
  • Examine completed financial statements and provide timely review notes to staff to ensure client needs are being met consistently 
  • Review and sign quarterly and annual payroll tax returns
  • Proactively identify accounting, internal control, and financial reporting deficiencies and provide timely recommendations to implement solutions and process improvements
  • Train and assist with the development of new and current staff

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree in Accounting
  • CPA License preferred
  • 5 - 8 years of corporate and public accounting experience combined
  • Proficient in QuickBooks Online and a willingness to embrace new technology 
  • General knowledge of the accounting practices in the healthcare field preferred
  • Highly adept at planning and organizing workload to manage multiple client engagements in an accurate and timely manner
  • Ability to multi-task, think independently and be an expert problem solver
  • Ability to occasionally travel to local client sites

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred in Accounting, Taxation or related field
  • 6 years of experience in public accounting or related field
  • 3 years supervisory experience
  • Ability to manage all aspects of client engagements
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate verbally and in writing throughout all levels of organization, both internally and externally
  • Must be able to travel based on client and business needs
  • Proficient use of applicable technology
