Together, CBIZ and Mayer Hoffman McCann P.C. (MHM) are ranked as one of the top providers of accounting services in the United States. MHM is an independent CPA firm that provides audit, review and attest services, while CBIZ provides, business consulting, tax and financial services.   

We are currently seeking an Accounting Manager to join our Managed Accounting Solutions team to support the accounting and finance operations for our Healthcare clients. The Accounting Manager will need to bring a well-rounded accounting and financial background and enjoy cultivating relationships with clients. The ideal candidate will have previous public accounting experience and will supervise, and delegate.

Essential Functions and Primary Duties

• Financial statement compilations
• Oversee accounting and finance function for clients 
• Increase the accuracy and transparency of the Company’s financial activity and financial standing by preparing and presenting financial reports and dashboards that help our clients understand their Company financials
• Perform cash projections to effectively manage cash balances and maximize the return on any excess cash balances
• Internal control and procedure reviews
• Quarterly and annual payroll tax returns
• Month-end close
• General ledger maintenance
• Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelors Degree in Accounting, CPA License preferred
• 5+ years of public accounting experience  
• Proficient in QuickBooks, Sage 50, or other Accounting software
• Train staff and delegate work as appropriate
• Professional presentation and conduct
• Must be responsible, self-managed and have excellent follow-up and tracking skills
• Must be detail oriented, able to prioritize and comfortable/able to travel to client locations when needed
• Healthcare industry experience preferred, but not required 

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred in Accounting, Taxation or related field
• 6 years of experience in public accounting or related field
• 3 years supervisory experience
• Ability to manage all aspects of client engagements
• Demonstrated ability to communicate verbally and in writing throughout all levels of organization, both internally and externally
• Must be able to travel based on client and business needs
• Proficient use of applicable technology
